May 2005 - Coldplay has been hailed one of the UK's favorite rock & roll bands ever since they ruled the charts throughout 2000 gaining international acclaim and winning the Grammy for Best Alternative Album in 2002. Chris, Will, Guy and Jonny met in the mid-90s during their first week as students at University of London and quickly formed the group. Their first album came out in 1998. After their second album, Parachutes, under the label Parlophone Records, the band sold 16 million copies of A Rush of Blood to the Head, showing their true star potential.
